Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Leghari says all possible measures are being taken to provide affordable electricity to consumers. Talking to private television channel, he said general consumers would hear good news regarding cheap electricity in next a few months. The Minister said discussion are being held with Independent Power Producers to bring improvement in energy prices. In reply to a question about high prices of electricity, Awais Ahmed Leghari said high interest rates and devaluation in currency is reason behind high prices. Source: Radio Pakistan
