Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says government's reforms of State Owned Enterprises are aimed at improving governance, efficiency and financial sustainability. He was addressing a banquet, hosted in honour of President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsugu Asakawa in Islamabad. The Finance Minister highlighted Pakistan's long-standing partnership with the ADB underscoring its pivotal role in supporting Pakistan's development agenda. He commended ADB's continued assistance in key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, education, and social development. The Finance Minister asked ADB to further engage the private sector in Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, ADB President Asakawa reaffirmed support for the ongoing SOE reforms and their role in strengthening country's fiscal framework.
