Sardar Yousaf Vows Best Arrangements for Hajj Pilgrims


Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure the best possible arrangements for intending pilgrims. Addressing the annual Hajj Conference in Islamabad, he stated that the Ministry has made excellent arrangements this year and there is zero tolerance in this regard.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister mentioned that he visited Saudi Arabia to review arrangements on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who takes special interest in facilitating the guests of Allah. He addressed the problems faced by private Hajj tour operators, stating that he has personally discussed the matter with his Saudi counterpart and other stakeholders, requesting an extension of the deadline. He expressed confidence that Pakistani pilgrims will be considered if concessions are given to other countries regarding the extension and assured that the deposited amount is safe and recorded in the system.



Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, urged pilgrims to abide by Saudi laws, advising them to refrain from political activities and debates and to focus on praying during their stay in the Holy Land.



Meanwhile, at the concluding training session of the Hajj Moavineen in Islamabad, the Minister for Religious Affairs emphasized providing the best services to the guests of Allah. He stated that serving the Hujjaj is a great honor for the Moavineen and assured that he will be present in Saudi Arabia to address any complaints. The Minister also highlighted that he will not avail any protocol, as he has not claimed any such thing in the past as the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
