Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong called on Pakistan Muslim League-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in technology, business and investment. During the meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif proposed establishing a special "China Economic Zone" to encourage Chinese investment. She said various incentives will be offered to investors. She also expressed her desire to utilize China's expertise in dairy production and agriculture. The Chinese Ambassador proposed expanding cultivation of hybrid seed in Punjab and offered to train one thousand Pakistani farmers in modern farming techniques and water-efficient practices.
