Pakistan Minerals Forum Delayed To November Amid Global Travel Concerns

Pakistan has postponed a key international minerals investment forum, citing evolving regional developments and uncertainties in global travel that could affect foreign participation. The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026, initially scheduled for April 8-9 in Islamabad, will now tentatively take place on November 12-13. Organisers said the decision was made after consultations with government counterparts and international partners to ensure broader global representation. Officials noted that while Pakistan remains outside conflict zones and international travel continues without disruption, shifting the event to a later date would provide greater certainty for overseas delegates, investors and policymakers. The forum is intended to serve as a flagship platform for promoting the country's mineral potential and fostering engagement between mining companies, exploration firms, financial institutions and public-sector stakeholders. Preparations for the event are continuing despite the rescheduling, inc luding programme development and international outreach efforts. Organisers emphasised their commitment to hosting a high-impact gathering that reflects Pakistan's long-term ambitions in mineral development and investment partnerships. The delay highlights the sensitivity of international business events to geopolitical conditions, even when host countries remain unaffected directly.
