A command and staff conference of Pakistan Navy was held in Islamabad today with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf in the chair. Matters pertaining to the maritime situation in the North Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden were reviewed. Besides, steps taken for the protection and security of the national maritime trade routes also came under discussion. The conference appreciated the acquisition of modern weapons and technology to tackle maritime security challenges. The Naval Chief directed naval force to take immediate measures to avoid flood situation caused by rains in the coastal areas. He was briefed regarding the ongoing and future projects of Pakistan Navy.
