Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized that the government is mobilizing all concerned departments and sensitizing farmers through awareness campaigns to mitigate crop losses. He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review the growing impact of pyrilla and whitefly pests on the sugarcane crop due to increased humidity. According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, it was highlighted that both pests have emerged as a serious threat to sugarcane produce. The Minister urged farmers to act promptly and assured that the government stands committed to providing technical guidance and support through relevant departments.
