Chery Master Pakistan has opened what it describes as Pakistan's first premium boutique automotive studio in Karachi and plans to double its nationwide dealership network from 10 to 20 outlets within six months, signalling an accelerated expansion of its plug-in hybrid vehicle business.
The new Chery Studio, located at 37C Khayaban-e-Ittehad Road in DHA Phase 6, has been designed as a dedicated space where customers can examine, test drive and purchase Chery vehicles. Chery Master Pakistan was introduced by Master Auto Engineering Private Limited, a company of Master Group of Industries. Its locally assembled plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, or PHEV, range comprises the Tiggo 7 PHEV, Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV. The company describes this as Pakistan's largest and best-selling PHEV line-up. The studio will serve as a specialised retail destination for these vehicles as the business expands its range of new-energy models.
The locally assembled vehicles use Chery Super Hybrid technology. According to the company, the PHEV range can provide up to 170km of driving on electric power alone and a combined range of as much as 1,400km. The showroom is intended to give visitors access to the company's latest plug-in hybrid models in a more focused retail setting. Chery Master said its vehicles emphasise intelligent mobility, safety, comfort and convenience.
Globally, Chery says it serves more than 19m users across over 130 countries and regions. In Pakistan, its operations are backed by Master Group, which the company says has more than 60 years of industrial manufacturing experience and automotive expertise. Syed Asif Ahmed, Director of Chery Master Pakistan, described the opening as part of an effort to change the way the company approaches automotive retail in the country. 'Chery Studio represents an important milestone in our journey to redefine automotive retail in Pakistan,' he said. Ahmed said the company intended to extend Chery's global standards across the customer experience while continuing to expand its footprint in the Pakistani market.
The studio opening comes alongside a sizeable planned increase in Chery Master Pakistan's physical presence. The company currently operates 10 dealerships nationwide and intends to raise that number to 20 within the next six months. The expansion would double its dealership network over a relatively short period, extending access to its locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUVs and related services across Pakistan. For Chery Master, the Karachi boutique therefore represents more than another sales outlet. It forms part of a broader strategy combining specialised automotive retail with a rapid enlargement of the company's nationwide distribution network as it seeks to expand its presence in Pakistan's plug-in hybrid vehicle market.
