Bata Pakistan Signs Three Year PSL Deal To Expand Sports Retail Presence

Bata Pakistan has entered a three-year partnership with a Pakistan Super League franchise, signalling a deeper push by retail brands into the country's expanding sports-commercial ecosystem.

Bata Pakistan has been appointed the official footwear partner for Pindiz under an agreement covering the 2026 to 2028 seasons of the Pakistan Super League. The deal was formalised at a signing ceremony held in Lahore.

The collaboration centres on the creation of an exclusive footwear range that combines the manufacturer's production capabilities with the branding of the franchise. The planned product line is intended to connect sports merchandise with everyday consumer use, reflecting a broader trend of lifestyle-oriented sports branding.

Executives from both sides described the agreement as a step towards integrating retail and sports engagement. The initiative will include co-branded products, digital campaigns and retail activations scheduled for later phases of the partnership.

Representatives of the franchise, backed by Walee, said the alliance aligns with efforts to extend its presence beyond cricket into consumer-focused experiences. The footwear company, meanwhile, views the partnership as part of its strategy to modernise its legacy brand and engage younger audiences.

The agreement highlights increasing commercialisation within Pakistan's sports sector, where collaborations between consumer brands and franchises are becoming a key avenue for audience expansion and product diversification.
