PM Terms Reduction in Policy Rate as Landmark Development for Industrial Growth.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Azerbaijan has expressed readiness to sign agreements worth two billion dollars with Pakistan. Chairing a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad today, he mentioned that the President of Azerbaijan has sent a message in this regard.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister also spoke about the upcoming visit of a Pakistani delegation to Saudi Arabia. He noted that during a recent meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman conveyed his best wishes for the progress and development of Pakistan and expressed a desire to strengthen relations in various fields.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the significant demand for IT workforce in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He stated that he will soon receive a presentation from the Ministry of Information Technology on the strategy being pursued to prepare a skilled IT workforce to meet this demand in both countries.

The Prime Minister described the recent reduction in the policy rate by the State Bank of Pakistan as a sig
nificant development for businesses, industry, agriculture, and exports. He expressed confidence that this will encourage people to invest, create job opportunities, enhance exports, reduce the debt burden, and provide fiscal space.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the business community will be encouraged to strengthen the economy.
