Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered support and assistance to Bangladesh on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan following the catastrophic floods. In a letter addressed to the Chief Adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh Muhammad Yunus, he conveyed profound sympathies and concern at the loss of life and devastation caused by the ongoing floods and affirmed solidarity with the people of Bangladesh. The Prime Minister said the people and government of Pakistan extend profound sympathies to the people and government of Bangladesh during this difficult time. He said that we stand in solidarity with Bangladesh and our thoughts, prayers are with all those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. Acknowledging the resilience of the people of Bangladesh in the face of calamities, Shehbaz Sharif said that he is confident that they will overcome this adversity under Muhammad Yunus' able leadership.
