Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced that Pakistan will revamp the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) under a Strategic Reform and Cooperation Plan with China. He made this announcement while chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the government's commitment to transforming PARC into a modern, efficient, and innovation-driven institution that can lead the country's food security agenda. He praised the efforts of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for their support in developing a reform roadmap for Pakistan's agricultural research sector. Rana Tanveer Hussain also instructed the formation of a high-level implementation committee tasked with ensuring the timely execution of the reform plan. The committee will set clear milestones and establish accountability mechanisms to oversee the project's progress.
