Famous Saraiki researcher, critic and novelist Aslam Rasoolpuri died in Lahore today due to protected illness. Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of renowned Saraiki researcher, critic and novelist Aslam Rasoolpuri. In his condolence message, he said the services of Aslam Rasoolpuri for promotion of art and literature would always be remembered. The Minister said Aslam Rasoolpuri through his literary work highlighted harmony between Sindhi and Saraiki traditions of Sufism by editing the poetry of Sindhi poets Sachal Sarmast, Bidel Sindhi and Hamal Laghari. His creative and research work would be remembered for ever. Murtaza Solangi prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude. Source: Radio Pakistan
