Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khazar Farhadov called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in Islamabad today. They discussed various matters of mutual interest. It was decided to enhance educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Punjab, including the exchange of delegations between universities in Azerbaijan and Punjab. They also discussed the possibility of declaring Lahore and the Nakhchivan region of Azerbaijan as sister cities. The Governor said Azerbaijan and Pakistan have longstanding relations as brotherly Islamic nations. He highlighted that both countries have always supported each other in times of difficulty. The Governor also mentioned that the relationship between the two brotherly countries is becoming more robust, and there should be increased exchanges of trade and cultural delegations.
