Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on police officials deployed for the safety of the anti-polio campaign team in South Waziristan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed grief over the martyrdom of a police constable in the incident. He prayed for forgiveness for the martyred constable and strength for the bereaved family to endure their loss.

The Prime Minister also directed that immediate medical assistance be provided to the injured. He stated that terrorists targeting anti-polio campaign workers and their security personnel are enemies of humanity and the nation.

In his statement, Shehbaz Sharif vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and urged the public not to succumb to the pressure of such elements. He reaffirmed the continuation of the anti-polio campaign, emphasizing its importance.

The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of the Government of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies to work tirelessly in eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country.
