Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position on July 17, 2014

Karachi, July 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$14,513.6 million on 11July2014.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –


i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 9,485.8 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks : US$ 5,027.8 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 14,513.6 million

During the week ending 11July2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$116 million to US$9,486 million compared to US$9,602 million in the previous week.

During the week ending 11July 2014, SBP has made payments of US$31 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments. During the same period, SBP received US$22 million from multilateral and bilateral sources.
