Pakistan Fully Endorses President Xi’s Vision: PM

Tianjin: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says China’s leadership has conveyed a message to the entire globe that long-lasting friendship can only be achieved through multilateralism instead of unilateralism. He was addressing the faculty members and students of Tianjin University in China on Sunday.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister said Chinese President Xi Jinping’s vision has proved that prosperity and progress can only be achieved through teamwork and shared progress and not through exclusive rights. He said Pakistan fully supports and endorses President Xi Jinping’s vision.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that youth comprises over sixty percent of Pakistan’s population. Emphasizing unlocking this potential, he said Pakistan has partnered with China to chart new opportunities in advanced education, skilled development, and vocational training. He noted that about thirty thousand Pakistani students are acquiring modern knowledge from various universities in China.

In terms of Pakistan-China cooperation in agriculture education, the Prime Minister mentioned that one thousand agri graduates are being sent to China from Pakistan to learn modern techniques. These graduates, after acquiring sufficient training, will assist farmers in achieving high yields in different crops.

The Prime Minister also advised Pakistani students studying in China to be great ambassadors of Pakistan in terms of hard work, punctuality, and unwavering commitment to equipping themselves with modern knowledge and techniques.

Highlighting the historical importance of Pak-China friendship, Shehbaz Sharif remarked that Pakistan-China ties are as old as the Silk Road when traders and monks carried not only goods but ideas across mountains and deserts. He noted that these ties are as profound as Gandhara, where Buddhist Art and learning traveled from Taxila to Shanghai and to Beijing.

He further stated that Pakistan was the first Muslim country to recognize China. The Karakoram Highway, carved through rock and ice, became one of China’s earliest and boldest infrastructure projects with a foreign partner. He recalled that it was Pakistan’s leader who was the last foreign guest to be received by the late Chairman Mao Zedong.
