New york: Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to enhance engagement across various sectors, focusing on economic cooperation, regional connectivity, collaboration at multilateral forums, and a shared commitment to peace. This development was announced following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders reaffirmed the strong bilateral ties between their countries and discussed the ongoing situation in Gaza. They emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian relief to those affected. The meeting highlighted the mutual interest of Pakistan and Bahrain in strengthening their partnership and working collaboratively on international platforms.
