Lahore: Director General of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, Irfan Ali Kathia, has announced that over 2200 survey teams are actively engaged in assessing the damage in flood-affected districts across the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting held in Lahore, Kathia reported that data collection efforts have so far identified 521,000 affected families. In response to the devastation, 200,000 bank accounts have been opened to facilitate the distribution of compensation to those impacted by the floods.
Additionally, Kathia revealed that more than 50,000 Flood Rehabilitation Cards have been distributed across 37 Camp Sites, enabling the disbursement of over one billion rupees in assistance to the flood victims.
