The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned Sunday’s terrorist attack on Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, killing one resident and wounding 21 civilians of different nationalities.

“The Organization condemns these criminal acts carried out by Houthi terrorist militia, which target civilians, public facilities and holy sites, OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen said in a statement on Monday, pointing out that the Organization holds this militia and those behind it fully responsible for the terrorist attacks.

Al-Othaimeen affirmed the OIC’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to tackle such terrorism that endangers the security of the region and the world. He also called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities in countering these terrorist acts targeting civilians and threatening the security and safety of civil aviation.
