Geneva: Minister for Climate Change Dr Musadik Malik has called for easing access to climate finance, investing in climate adaptation technologies, and supporting capacity-building initiatives in the Global South. He made these remarks during his speech at the High-Level Consultation titled "Unlocking Capital for Development in High-Risk, Neglected Markets," organized by the United Nations Capital Development Fund.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dr Malik emphasized the importance of global cooperation in addressing climate change challenges. He highlighted Pakistan's commitment to its Nationally Determined Contributions, which include ambitious targets for renewable energy expansion, afforestation, and sustainable water management. The Minister's call to action underscores the urgency for international support in mobilizing resources and technology to assist countries most vulnerable to climate change impacts.
