Malik Sohail appointed Special Adviser to Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Islamabad, August 28, 2012 (PPI-OT): Famous business leader of the twin cities Malik Sohail Hussain has been appointed as Special Adviser to the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI).
A notification has been issued in this regard informing all the concerned business circles and government quarters.
According to the details, a meeting Executive Council of IWCCI was held here with the founder president of the Chamber Samina Fazil in chair.
The meeting unanimously decided to appoint Malik Sohail Hussain as Special Adviser to the Chamber. It was observed that the move will help women entrepreneurs overcome many obstacles which are hindering their growth.
Speaking at the occasion, Samina Fazil said that the services of Malik Sohail are known to everyone as he has left no stone unturned to help business community while serving as SVP of ICCI, President of Blue Area and VP of National Traders Alliance.
Since last two years, Sohail is serving as Chairman Media, PR and Diplomatic Affairs in the FPCCI Capital Office and we are very much impressed by his way of dealing and feel indebted due to his courtesy and cooperation.
VP IWCCI Naima Ansari said that female entrepreneurs are highly grateful to national business leaders Tariq Sayeed and Iftikhar Ali Malik. Now enhanced cooperation will help us explore new vistas, she added.
In his speech, Malik Sohail said that women largely remain marginalised to the negative tendencies in society.
Society is giving them due recognition and respect and policies are not framed to bring 51 per cent of the population into the mainstream.
The business leader said that majority of the women are unaware of their rights while they suffer from discrimination.
He said that he will try best to come up to the expectation of the members and leaders of the IWCCI while trying best to promoted their cause which can guarantee a prosperous future to the generations to come.
Malik Sohail said that President FPCCI Haji Ghulam Kadir Sherani is very much concerned about business women and he has directed all the subordinates to extend all possible assistance to them.
Despite tall claims from various quarters, no healthy efforts are visible to support women; he said adding that we have no future unless we enable women to live better and more fulfilling lives.
We will have to make our women more strong with a tendency to withstand different calamities by making them aware about their rights. Growth rate can only be accelerated if women are empowered because prosperity is closely linked to not only the success of men, but also that of women entrepreneurs.
