Kashmiris’ resolve to continue struggle reaffirmed

Srinagar, May 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, speakers at a seminar in Srinagar, today, reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the mission of their martyrs till it reached its logical conclusion. The seminar was organized by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference at its headquarters in Srinagar, today, in connection with the Martyrdom Week.

It was presided over by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and the speakers included Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Pervaiz Imroz and Zaheer-ud-Din. The speakers paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and the martyrs of Hawal.

They said that the Kashmiri leaders had laid down their lives with an aim to deliver liberation to the people from Indian bondage. Meanwhile, the third volume of veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani’s autobiography ‘Wular Kinaray’ and another book ‘Paradise on Fire’ by Abdul Haq were released at a function at Hyderpora in Srinagar, today. The event was attended by Hurriyet leaders, prominent writers and lawyers including Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Dr Altaf Hussain, Z G Muhammad, Dr Javed Iqbal, Mian Abdul Qayoom and Khurram Pervez.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, addressing a gathering in Srinagar, today, in connection with the Founding Day of his party urged the United Nations to use its powers for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

He also appreciated the efforts being made by Pakistan towards settlement of the lingering dispute. People raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans on the occasion. On the other hand, Pakistan’s National flag was once again seen hoisted in Hariparbat Fort, Buchpora, Babademb, Gojwara, Rawalpora, Narbal, Sopore and several other areas of the occupied territory, yesterday.
