Indian police, CRPF men run amok in Narbal

Srinagar, April 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police and paramilitary force CRPF men ran amok at Narbal in Badgam district to prevent protests against the killing of the teenage boy, Suhail Ahmad Sofi, in firing by Indian armed personnel in the area on Saturday. The residents of the area told media that police and CRPF personnel broke windowpanes of many houses.

“They beat whosoever came their way. Mourners were coming to visit the bereaved family but the forces unleashed terror in the area,” they added. Police lobbed dozens of tear-gas shells which landed near the tent erected in the premises of his house for mourners, Suhail’s relatives said. “Many women fell unconscious by the smoke. Won’t they even allow us to mourn?” the angry relatives asked.
