Hilal suggests launch of civil disobedience movement in IOK

Srinagar, May 11, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, has suggested the Hurriyet leadership to launch Civil Disobedience Movement in the territory if India continues to delay the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Hilal Ahmad War addressing a function in Sopore said that people of Kashmir would appeal China to play role of Big Brother and come to their rescue. “If India would not change its attitude towards Kashmir and continues to suppress the popular voice of Kashmir, in that case we will appeal Great China to play a role of Big Brother and come to our rescue,” he said.

The APHC leader said that in spite of the immense sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir, Indian government was deliberately delaying the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He maintained that if such a policy continued to remain in vogue, soon India would meet the fate of the former Soviet Union.

“India has created a flashpoint in South Asia which anytime could bring down the entire region into rubbles. India has undermined all its promises it made to the people of Kashmir in the past. Be it the United Nations resolutions or the pledges of its first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the Indian Parliament or at Srinagar’s Historic Lal Chowk,” he maintained.

Hilal War said that the resistance leaders had to adopt a comprehensive strategy so that the lingering Kashmir dispute could be resolved at an earliest. He maintained that he, on behalf of his party, would like to suggest the resistance leaders here to launch a non-cooperation movement as Gandhi did against the British. “It is a legitimate way to get the demands of the people addressed and it will yield results,” he added.
