Federation urges exchange of trade delegations between Pakistan and Maldives

Islamabad: Foreign Minister of Maldives Ahmed Naseem and Ambassador of Maldives in Pakistan His Excellency Adam Shahnaz visited Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Capital Office, Islamabad and held a meeting with the President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, said a press release issued Wednesday.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interests including promotion of bilateral trade, exchange of delegations, strengthening of SAARC Chamber with the view to play an import role in the trade and development of the member countries, etc were discussed.

FPCCI Vice President Mohammed Akbar Khan, Chairman, Media and Public Relation of Capital office, Malik Sohail Hussain, President of Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Jawed Akhtar Bhatti, Vice President, Raja Amir Iqbal, Former President Syed Ali Raza, Saeed Shah and others were also present on the occasion.

FPCCI President Senator Haji Ghulam Ali while welcoming Maldives Foreign Minister Ahmed Naseem and Ambassador Adam Shahnaz, on their visit to Capital Office, said promotion of trade, exchange of trade delegations and cordial relation between the brotherly Muslim countries would further strengthen the friendship of both the countries.

Maldives Foreign Minister thanked the FPCCI President for according him warm welcome and underscored the need to have exemplary relations between both the countries. He added that there are many products which can be exported to Maldives by Pakistan. This would not only help Pakistan in increasing its exports, but would also improve relations between both the countries’ business community.

The Maldives Foreign Minister inviting Pakistan’s investors said they would be extended all support, cooperation and concessions on their investment in Maldives.

On this occasion, Maldives’s Foreign Minister invited the President of FPCCI to participate, along with the business delegation, in the SAARC event. FPCCI President accepted the invitation as extended by the Maldives’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Naseem and expressed his gratitude and thanks to the Foreign Minister.
