Corporate Social Responsibility and SA 8000 Compliance in Pakistan

Lahore, January 03, 2012 (PPI-OT): Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), in collaboration with The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Regional Office Lahore organized one day training program on “Corporate Social Responsibility and SA 8000 Compliance in Pakistan”

The training program was chaired by Mr. Muhammad Rafique Aasi, Regional Secretary FPCCI Lahore. He appreciated the efforts of SMEDA for rendering valuable services regarding the promotion and up gradation of SMEs in Pakistan.

It was attended by representatives of various business institutions and Mr. Rana Muhammad Daniyal Advisor NESPAK was the trainer of this program.

Mr. Rana Muhammad Daniyal briefed the participants about various aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility, Best Practices and SA 8000. The impact of CSR and SA 8000 on the Society and Business was also highlighted during the session.

The participants appreciated the efforts for organizing the training program on the topic of CSR in Pakistan. Mr. Rehmat Ullah Javed, Chairman FPCCI Regional Standing Committee on SMEs also shared his experiences of CSR and its advantages on this occasion.
