Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the House Ishaq Dar termed the passage of the Constitutional Amendment as a historic moment saying this fulfills the unfinished agenda of the Charter of Democracy signed between PPP and the PML-N. Speaking in the Senate, he said both the PML-N and the PPP made strenuous efforts to build consensus on the constitutional amendment. He said several rounds of talks in this regard were held with the JUI(F). The Deputy Prime Minister said the government is also coming up with more amendments in order to provide speedy justice to the people.
