Back up support to Regional Business Centers of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority to be enhanced

Lahore: The back up support to Regional Business Centers of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) would be enhanced. It was assured by Mr. Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, Chief Executive Officer of SMEDA today while addressing Regional Business Coordinators (RBC) Conference today at SMEDA Head Office. The Regional Business Coordinators stationed in various districts of Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtun Khawa attended the conference.

Mr. Khurram Khan, GM-Central Support, Mr. Nasir Khan, GM-Policy and Planning, Mr. Alamgir Chaudhry, GM-Outreach and Mr. Sultan Tiwana, GM-Business and Sector Development Services were also present on this occasion.

CEO SMEDA informed the RBCs that a program for capacity building of SMEDA was being conducted by USAID. He urged the RBCs to appraise the head office about their capacity building requirements.

However, he agreed to take appropriate measures for providing RBCs with more back up support from the head office and announced to hold a meeting of the Managing Committee to take decisions in this regard. He also announced to depute an exclusive contact person at the head office for speedy processing of the RBCs requirements.

Earlier, the RBCs gave presentations to the CEO regarding PSDP projects being implemented in their regions along with the issues and problems to be confronted by them.
