Arrest, harassment of students, teenagers denounced

Srinagar, February 03, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) has denounced police action against youth, particularly teenagers and students, in south Kashmir. The JKPFL General Secretary, Muhammad Ramzan Khan, addressing a party meeting in Baramulla said that India by subjecting the youth to brutal torture and harassment was forcing them to adopt violent means.

He asked the international human rights organizations to take notice of the issue. Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, denounced human rights violations by Indian forces in the territory. He called upon Amnesty International and other human rights bodies to take special measures to save the people of Kashmir from oppression of Indian forces.
