APHC denounces India’s brutal tactics in IOK

Srinagar, February 11, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has condemned the arrest of Hurriyet leaders, massive deployment of Indian forces’ personnel and imposition of strict restrictions in the territory on the anniversaries of prominent martyred liberation leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that at a time when people were paying tributes to their martyrs on their anniversaries, the authorities were stopping them by using dictatorial, fascist and brutal methods. He said that such tactics could not suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing liberation movement.

The spokesman said that thousands of Kashmiris had laid down their lives for the great cause of freedom. He maintained that these sacrifices had been offered for settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.
