PDMA starts damage surveys in flood-affected areas of Punjab

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has started damage surveys in the flood-affected areas of the province.

In a statement on Monday, the PDMA spokesperson said in Dera Ghazi Khan district 34 Survey Committees have been constituted at Tehsil and Patwar Circle level.

He said an urban unit has also been hired for damage assessment and damages will be estimated through digital surveillance, location dashboard.

He said 75,552 people trapped in flood were rescued and 184 relief camps have been set up in flood affected areas, currently 45 are operational.

The spokesperson said so far tents have been distributed to 38,883 and ration to 1,16,620 households.
