OGDCL Begins Production From Lundali-1 Gas Well at 10 MMscfd

A new gas well in Sindh has started supplying Pakistan's gas network. Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) said production began on September 6th, 2026, at the Lundali-1 well in the Sukhpur-II Block. The well is producing 10m standard cubic feet a day (MMscfd) at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 pounds per square inch (psi).

The company announced the start of production in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). It said the well had been commissioned successfully and that its gas was being sold to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

Four companies share ownership of the block. OGDCL and Mari Energies Limited each hold a 30% stake. Prime Global Energies Limited, the operator, holds 25%, and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited holds 15%.

The well was drilled under an earlier joint-venture arrangement and brought into production by the current partners. The petroleum concession agreement and exploration licence for Sukhpur-II took effect on December 2nd, 2025, so the current partnership has been in place for less than a year.

OGDCL said the new production is adding domestically produced gas to the national energy supply. At 10MMscfd, however, the well is a relatively small addition to the network.

The company made the disclosure under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Regulations.
