Mobile Phone Imports Jump 40.51 Percent To $801 Million In Five Months

Pakistan's mobile phone imports surged by 40.51% during the first five months of FY2025-26, reaching $801.139m, reflecting a sharp rise in consumer electronics demand compared with the same period last year.

Data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics show that imports of handsets during July-November 2025-26 stood at $801.139m, up from $570.184m in the corresponding months of FY2024-25.

The expansion was also evident in monthly figures. On a year-on-year basis, mobile phone imports in November 2025 rose 4.81% to $156.565m, compared with $149.378m in November 2024.

Compared with October 2025, inbound shipments increased 8.30% in November, when imports were valued at $144.563m.

The data underscore a marked acceleration in mobile phone imports during the current fiscal year, with both cumulative and monthly figures pointing to sustained growth in handset purchases.
