Bannu: A Pakistan Army officer and two soldiers, who lost their lives during a counter-terrorism operation in the Bakakhel area of Bannu district, were laid to rest in their ancestral areas with full military honors. The solemn ceremonies paid tribute to their bravery and commitment to the nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, those who were laid to rest include Major Aatif Khalil Shaheed, Naik Azadullah Shaheed, and Lance Naik Ghaznfar Abbas. The announcement highlighted the dedication and sacrifice exhibited by these soldiers in the line of duty.
Earlier, the funeral prayer for Major Aatif Khalil was attended by both the Corps Commander of Rawalpindi and the Corps Commander of Peshawar. Their presence underscored the significance of the sacrifices made by the soldiers and the impact of their loss on the military community.
A large number of senior military and civilian officials, soldiers from the Pakistan Army, the martyrs’ family members, and local dignitaries participated in the funeral and burial serv
ices. The gatherings reflected the deep respect and gratitude felt by the community toward the fallen heroes.
