Govt fully believes in freedom of press: Caretaker Info Minister

Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said government fully believes in freedom of press.



He said this while interacting with a delegation of the newly elected office bearers of the Press Association of the Supreme Court in Islamabad on Monday.



The Information Minister congratulated President Tayyab Baloch, General Secretary Azam Gul, Information Secretary Shehryar Shoaib Bukhari and others on assuming the office.



Murtaza Solangi said the role of Court Reporters in Journalism is very important. He said Court Reporting is a technical field like Lawyers and journalists also need to have awareness of the law. He said the main objective of the media is to convey correct information to the masses. He said services of the court reporters in creating awareness about legal matters and important court decisions are commendable.
