Foundry Service Centre holds training program on importance of simulation

Lahore, August 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): A SMEDA developed project; Foundry Service Centre, Lahore organized a Training Program on ‘Importance of Simulation in Metal Casting’ the other day at University of Punjab, Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering in coordination with Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Assistant Professor in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and Dr. Aqeel Inam, Asst Professor in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.

Mr. Saqib Qayyum, Simulation Engineer, Foundry Service Centre (FSC) was the Key Resource Person in this Training Session, who delivered a lecture on the topic and shared the information on how the Foundry Service Centre Lahore was extending support to the Foundry industry in the country. This will result in bringing economic and social changes and improvement in the living standards by stimulating the economy to grow rapidly.

Speaking on the occasion, Officials of the University of Punjab commended the efforts of Foundry Service Centre Lahore for raising awareness and extending technical services for the growth and development of Foundry Sector in Pakistan.

It is notable that Foundry Service Centre (FSC), Lahore is a joint Project of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), University of Engineering Technology (UET) and Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA), which has been developed to provide various facilities including Prototype Development, Testing, Pattern Designing, Simulation, Training and Consultation services to foundry industry in Lahore and nearby areas.
