Lahore: The 14th death anniversary of renowned lyricist Khawaja Pervaiz was observed on Friday. Khawaja Pervaiz, born Ghulam Mohayudin in Amritsar in 1932, made significant contributions to the music industry in Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, Khawaja Pervaiz penned nearly 10,000 songs for Urdu and Punjabi films over a career spanning four decades. His work began with the film “Riwaj,” but he gained widespread recognition with the song “Tum hee ho mehboob meray” from the film “Aina.”
Khawaja Pervaiz’s legacy continues to resonate in the world of music. He passed away on this day in 2011 in Lahore, leaving behind a rich heritage of lyrical compositions.
