Amir Muqam urges UN to implement resolutions on JandK

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has called upon the United Nations to ensure implementation of its resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir dispute and impress upon India to stop blatant violations of international laws in his regard.

He was addressing a news conference alongside Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders in Islamabad on Saturday.

The Minister said it was on 27th October 1947 that Indian forces forcibly took control of Jammu and Kashmir without any legal justification.

He said since then many UN Security Council Resolutions were passed in favour of the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir including the one which endorses the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

He said Pakistan has always been a staunch advocate of this indigenous right of Kashmiris living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and has always supported them in this just struggle.

Amir Muqam said tomorrow the entire Pakistani nation will stand with their Kashmiri brethren to mark Kashmir Black Day to convey to the world that I
ndia had occupied Kashmiris’ motherland illegally.

He said a rally will be taken out at ten in the morning on Sunday in the federal capital to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
