Punjab CM directs for provision of free medicines to cancer patients

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has said that the supply of free medicines to cancer patients should continue uninterrupted.

He was chairing a meeting in Lahore to review the provision of free medicine to cancer patients.

The Chief Minister said there should be no further delay in this good deed, adding that quality healthcare facilities is the basic right of the people.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has directed the Health department to remain vigilant in the wake of possible spread of monkeypox and advised to adopt necessary precautions in this regard.

In a statement issued in Lahore, the Chief Minister emphasised that the Health department should ensure the implementation of World Health Organization precautions.

Similarly, advance measures should be timely adopted to stop the spread of this disease including devising an effective mechanism for the screening of passengers at airports.
