China says the Kashmir issue should be properly resolved peacefully in accordance with the United Nations charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreement.

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning during her regular briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

She stressed on avoiding taking unilateral actions that could further complicate the situation.
