Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) says issue has been reported in the Internet data networks between the South and North which is causing Internet connectivity issues today.

In a Tweet, PTA said it is monitoring the situation and further updates will be shared after investigation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Company in a statement said that its optical fiber network is experiencing some technical faults due to heavy rains and floods.

The statement said as a result of the fault, PTCL users in northern and central regions are facing internet outage.

It said teams are working to restore the services on priority basis.
