Over nineteen billion rupees have been disbursed to793,701 families under flood relief cash assistance of Benazir Income Support Programme.

According to a press release issued by BISP on Monday, financial assistance of 25000 rupees is being provided to the flood affected families in areas of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On the direction of Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Shazia Marri, all payment centres are open for payments to victims even on holidays.

Affected families can send their National Identity Card number to 8171 for registration in the Flood Relief Cash Assistance Program and upon receiving the payment message; they can withdraw their assistance from the nearest camp site.

A control room has also been set up at BISP headquarters to ensure transparent disbursements.
