Zafar urges world bodies to take notice of HR abuses in IHK

Srinagar, May 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, has appealed to the international human right organisations to take notice of the massive rights abuses being perpetrated by Indian troops in the territory. Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a public gathering at Barzalla in Srinagar deplored that Indian troops and police personnel were using lethal weapons against peaceful protesters in the occupied territory.

He said that the use of brute force could not prevent the Kashmiri people from continuing their just struggle for securing their right to self-determination as they were determined to take the ongoing movement to its logical conclusion at all costs.

The APHC leader paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs and said that their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. He urged India to give up its rigid and unrealistic approach and come forward to settle the Kashmir dispute for the peace and prosperity of South Asia.
