Water and Power Development Authority wins National Junior Boys and Girls Karate championship

Lahore, November 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): National Junior and Cadet Karate Championships ended here at Sindh Sports Board Sports Complex Karachi. More than 200 players from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP Islamabad, FATA, WAPDA, and Pakistan Army participated in the championships. WAPDA stood FIRST in Junior Boys and Girls events while Balochistan won FIRST Position in Cadet Boys and Islamabad stood FIRST in Cadet Girls Championships. Sabira and Nargis of WAPDA won two Gold Medals in Junior Girls while Aurangzeb of FATA won Gold Medal in 55Kg Junior Boys event.

Lt. Gen Syed Arif Hasan President Pakistan Olympic Association was the Chief Guest at the Closing / Prize Distribution Ceremony. Secretary Sports Mr. Muhammad Rashid, Force Commander ANF Brig. Muhammad Abuzar, Secretary General POA Mr. Muhammad Khalid Mehmood and other dignitaries of Olympic Family were also present on the occasion. Mr. Aurangzeb from FATA declared best player of Junior boys event, Ms. Nargis of WAPDA declared best player of Junior girls event, Mr. Talib of Sindh declared best player in cadet boys event and Ms. Laiba of Punjab declared best player of Cadet girls event.
