US firms asked to invest in energy sector

LAHORE: Energy shortage in Pakistan presents a good avenue for American companies to invest as the country’s energy policy is one of the best in the world. Vice Chairman Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) Rizwan Ullah Khan claimed this during his presentation to a six-member US government delegation on Thursday.

The delegation was led by Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia Michael Dalaney. Khan, who is also the president of American Business Forum, highlighted sectors and projects for investment.
