Untoo slams arrest of youth, use of pepper gas in IOK

Srinagar, December 07, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu Kashmir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has condemned arrest of youth and use of pepper gas in Srinagar. Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the arrest of juveniles and using pepper gas against people look as if the authorities are at war with masses in the territory.

He said that the puppet Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was talking about ‘battle of ideas’ but at the same time innocent youth were being kept behind the bars. Recently, over three dozen juveniles have been arrested from various parts of downtown. They are students and by putting them behind bars, the authorities are destroying their career, Untoo added. He lambasted the use of pepper gas on the peaceful demonstrators and demanded immediate release of youth.
