UNISAME urges UAE to invest in fast food business in Pakistan

Karachi: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) in a meeting with investors of United Arab Emirates (UAE) urged them to invest in fast food business in Pakistan for handsome profits, said a press release issued Thursday.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver urged the UAE investors to invest in fast food business all over Pakistan and offered feasibility for fast food business on wheels to cater to the common man requirements of meals at lesser rates.

He said the investor can establish centralized kitchens and distribute meals under their brands to delivery vans equipped to prepare meals by frying/heating systems available in the vans.

Explaining the advantages of fast food franchises on wheels he said the meals would be affordable for the common man and at the same time nutritious and change of location possible being on wheels. Another advantage would be that vans could be leased to entrepreneurs on ‘pay as you earn’ basis and products supplied on daily basis on short credits and this would promote employment he highlighted.

The idea was well received by the UAE investors who asked for the feasibility and they extended support for the Pakistani SMEs.
