Srinagar, February 21, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, five Indian Army personnel including two Captains were killed and around a dozen army men were injured during an encounter in Pampore area of Pulwama district. A civilian was also martyred in firing by Indian troops. The gunfight started last night when a convoy of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force was attacked. A government building complex of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute in the area has been set ablaze and the authorities have said that three attackers are present inside the building.

Meanwhile, people while defying police restrictions came out to the streets and staged massive protests in Pampore and adjoining areas against the army operation. Several people were injured when police and paramilitary personnel fired tear gas shells on the protesters.
