Three Kashmiris martyred in Pulwama

Srinagar, February 14, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiris including a woman in Pulwama, today. One youth identified as Aadil Wagay, who was a resident of Bandipore, was shot dead by the troops during a siege and search operation in Kakpur village of the district. The killing led to forceful anti-India demonstrations and clashes between protesters and Indian police in Pulwama and adjoining areas.

Two civilians including a woman were killed and many were injured when police resorted to firing and teargas shells on the protesters. The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (G), Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Zafar Akbar Butt, Firdous Ahmad Shah and Peoples Freedom League in their statements and addresses denounced the killings and use of force on protesters in Pulwama.

The General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (G) Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum in their separate statements in Srinagar and Jammu strongly condemned life threat to Syed Ali Gilani by a Hindu underworld don, Ravi Pujari. Ravi Pujari called on the landline number of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet office at Hyderpora in Srinagar and gave the threat, which he himself confirmed later during a TV interview.

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in a statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmiri freedom fighter, Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, on his martyrdom anniversary. Indian police arrested Ghulam Muhammad Bulla on 14th February in 1975 and tortured him to death during detention for raising his voice against Indra-Abdullah Accord.
